Simple moments

Her supple hand touched the breeze

The ladybird purged pests with ease

His cherubic cheek brushed her arm

The cattle egret eats the bug (alarmed)

Farmland of languid lucid flocks

She sensed the scene from far away

A chance to laugh and love and learn

Her time had come to reach (to yearn)

Events – they could not stand alone –

The ladybird – the bug – the cow

Simple moments meant to last

The fish looks scared – the rod is cast

Do you mind when she tells a lie

A white one meant to do no harm

As his eyes set upon her own

It’s said desire won’t disown

They leave the farm with coupled hands

Walking to their never-land

In each others’ grasp – their love laid bare

They could be walking anywhere
