Solitude had caught me
Willing to bestow
Despair and gloom upon me
Like a bright lights afterglow
She had visited me prior
But never quite like this
Foisting hands like boxers gloves
Requisitioning her kiss
She had once spent the night with me
And wistfully portrayed
A beauty – kindred spirit – (yes)
And throughout the day she played
She put her arms around me
And her lips – they could be mine
And when I woke I felt her
She was my soul – divine
How did she reach inside me
How could she delight in fray
The ravel and the ragged
Of her forever land
