What can be said to virtue and vice
That has not been said before
The lifeblood and the mortal wound
In the now (and times well-stored)
Sagacity reciprocates
And ‘learn-ed’ gives and takes
Like the clouds needed for thunder’s storm
With ignorance in their wake
But what of you – (and what of me)
Can we share our lives together
Will we both be lost to worldly-wise
Unwrapped and – yes – untethered
Or is our path the one less travelled
But the same one that entices
That leads us to emotive force
And by our own devices
Once arrived – with smile drawn
And profundity – immortal
One shares the air when tepid fair
Away – with mortal coil
