It came but in a whisper
like a gentle moonlight swim
It left behind epiphany
a spring-tide seen within
Outside a stranger world berates
with anger in its veins
Inside a softer world creates
and cherishes the same
A lived-in warmth of feelings
leaves strength with those who share
The summer's sense of malcontent
replaced with nuanced air
One breathes it in - and exhales
like nine upon a cloud
The winter's gale disappears
with love one's new surround.

With my head in the sky and my wings in the air, I try to spend my spare time at the footy (AFL in Australia) Go Pies! – and valuable hours with family and friends. Otherwise I’ll have pen in hand and notebook at the ready for those insightful snippets that dream up a poem.
I contribute to Cosmofunnel where you’ll find a guided universe of poetry and art.
