The Nuance

Summer came and left that day

with still nothing to show

one stood - enticed - but wanting

for the nuance soon to grow

But as the years passed by

the wilting flower knew

the other was too smart a lad

to send but a passing clue

As bees swarm to the honeypot

nature soon demands

the nuance to declare itself

its soul at your command.

  1. Your poetic words beautifully capture the passage of time and the subtle dance of emotions. The imagery of a wilting flower and the anticipation of nature’s declaration evoke a sense of longing and patience. Well expressed!
